Hampton Housing Authority Buys Former Convenience Store

City of Hampton
“The Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority has purchased a former convenience store along Kecoughtan Road. From a city news release:

The Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority has purchased the OH J market at 920 Kecoughtan Road. The property is in the master plan area for the Kecoughtan Road Corridor, and the $227,000 used to purchase it came from money dedicated to the master plan area. The convenience store should be demolished by the end of December. The 2006 plan, developed with extensive public input, called for Kecoughtan to become primarily a residential boulevard and neighborhood main street, with commercial businesses concentrated in two existing commercial and retail clusters.”
